Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 WaterForce revealed

Yes, it's an Nvidia GTX 980 based card with a pre-installed water cooling unit and radiator.

Kinda disappointed that there is no backplate on that thing.

The OC abilities of this should be pretty good, but my god, that is a hideous shroud. What were they thinking? I don't have a windowed case, but I still wouldn't buy that purely based on how ugly it is.

Yeah, agreed. The Windforce cards always look really good though -- NOT that I would say no to one of these baby's

Interesting. Have the Nvidia power use restrictions been removed?

Re: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 WaterForce revealed

I was looking for the word "Ti" but not to be seen.
Releasing another 980 is just a tad late isn't it? I'm sure a very capable card, but I'd have expected the Ti for this. I find the 980 to be very quiet on idle and load already without a need for WC. I also prefer the Asus Strix method, kill the fan completely on idle then you don't need all the extra gubbins in the case, when you're playing a game on load chances are you wont notice the fans anyway because of game audio.
I have to say I prefer the look of inno3D iChills and theirs are for the Ti cards which makes more sense.
