Yes!!! Backward compatibility finally here for Plants vs. Zombies... now I can justify spending the cash on a XBO!

On a serious note, No Forza, PGR, GTA, or any football game (fifa or pro evo) of note is disappointing.

PGR I can understand but Forza, FIFA or PES? Buy the one of the two versions of each of them have have released natively on the XBO

I still do not understand the importance of BC personally....there is only ONE game in all the years I have owned consoles that I have ever used in BC mode and that was the original version of Worms for the PS1 (which I still used on the PS3).

That list doesn't exactly blow me away... Having never owned an Xbox360 I don't have a back catalogue, so I'd be looking at these as bargain bin games.

Good start. I assume they'd continue to make more games available. Unfortunately Microsoft said that Kinect games won't be converted, which is currently an obstacle for me, as one of my son's favourite games is Marvel Avengers Battle for Earth.

BC's important for two reasons. First off is the obvious one that if you do have a back catalog then at least you're not forced to spend as much as the console again to actually get something to play on it - remember XBoxOne games seemed to be priced £10-15 more than the XBox360 versions. Plus, if you're not bothered for A list titles then perhaps raiding the "pre owned" bins of GAME and various charity shops could pay dividends?

Second, is that there's earlier games that just play "differently" than their "more advanced" successors. The one that is going to be most widely popular is CoD4 - which everyone seems to regard as the best in the series. Similarly the last XB360 Forza has some pretty nice DLC that I'd really like to hold onto.

If you've got an Android tablet then I can really recommend PvZ2 - yes, it's got IAP's - but unlike that never-to-be-sufficiently-damned Simpsons:Tapped Out the IAP's are definitely "optional" in PvZ2. Oh, and PvZ's are actually reasonably priced unlike S:TO who - quite frankly - are taking the urine. E.g two "optional" buildings costed at £20-30 for the pair - seriously EA?!

At present I'm swithering between replacing one of the house XB360's with an XBone or a PS4. Sure the PS4 seems to be the most technically capable (e.g. Just Cause 3 runs at 900p on XB, but 1080p on PS4), but I just can't get to like the controller (RSI city!). IF Microsoft were serious about extending the BC feature (hint: CoD2 please!) then that's a big leg up in my book for XBox, although I'd be the first to complain that there's a LOT of either B/C-list titles in the currently supported list.

Career status: still enjoying my new career in DevOps, but it's keeping me busy...

Re: Microsoft lists 104 backwards compatible Xbox 360 games

I'd still rather buy an xbox 360 slim than the xbone. At the least all my existing games will be compatible, and the graphics on the xbone certainly aren't all that much better than the 360 had from what I've seen.

It's clearly the difference between DVD and Bluray. Higher res, more fidelity, more effects. And more than just graphics are everything else it can do. More characters on screen. More players in multiplayer. Bigger levels.
