Costs more than the Nano? In which case, I think I'd rather the Nano.

~ £65 more than the Nano...lol what? Why would you want to pay this for at best a few fps more and a larger form factor?! Crazy pricing.

What's the difference between this and the Tri-x?

Re: Sapphire releases the Nitro R9 Fury graphics card

5% is not even an overclock I'd like to know how many hit 1200 and stay there though, without being noisy that is. If "most" could do it, why are they not selling them at 1150 out of the box? As others have said, best to just buy a normal card and get this much yourself for less $$. They also forget to mention the 980 does a decent job of OCing also, and because they're so mature at this point (chips that is), they all do this pretty well.
For instance, ref card at guru:
    http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/nvidia_geforce_gtx_970_and_980_reference_review,28.html
7 months old now hit 200mhz on core and 240 on boost with perf gains from 5-20% depending on test used. Memory can hit 8ghz on many cards too (see lightning hitting 8.6ghz! and boosting to ~1500mhz). So comparing to a ref clock 980 without also at least OCing that ref card, seems...SHADY, at best. Having said that, bring on the die shrinks from both sides. Without that, my money stays in the wallet for now.

Nobodyspecial, that's not how you sell products.

Re: Sapphire releases the Nitro R9 Fury graphics card

I suspect the reason they don't sell them at 1150MHz is because the power consumption goes up, and since they seem to be having a power PR problem they chose not to.
As for not comparing it to an overclocked 980, well you wouldn't want to. You want to compare it to a baseline, and the reference non-overclocked version is the best you're going to get. Then you can add on your overclock performance % afterwards
