uplay = no play. Shame. I'd be all over it otherwise. Accidentally bought the last ubisoft bundle when I forgot about uplay's existence. Still haven't redeemed the keys...

Same, I also got the last Assassins Creed game free with my GPU that required uplay. It's not actually that bad as far as the software goes, bit simple but light on resources. The majority of my library is steam and it's annoying running both

I got NFS:MW on the PS3 and it is very hard, particularly for an NFS game. Think the cars were a bit heavy and didn't handle too well, or just they were a bit too realistic?

Re: Need For Speed: Most Wanted is On The House

People complain about uplay almost as much as Origin, but I really doesn't see much problems with it. As I only open it whenever I play any of my Ubi games, it doesn't hog that much of my pc resources. Only thing I'd like is to Ubi games on Steam not to also open uplay to run.

I'll second that - but boy is it satisfying when you manage to take down that last opponent before the finish line...

Got "Most Wanted" on XBox (360) so if EA are giving it away then I'll have a copy - or at least I will when my PC rebuild is finished (larger apps area!)

The Humble Bundle looks interesting, although I've already gpt the content I'd want, so I'll give it a pass. Actually that reminds me, still got to install that Assassin's Creed Syndicate that I got free in NVidia's "Bullets and blades" promotion two months ago.

Career status: still enjoying my new career in DevOps, but it's keeping me busy...

My problem with uPlay has been the netcode in their games (desyncs, unable to see friends games etc). Can't say I have had many (any) issues with games written on top of steamworks.

But it still isn't a patch on the NFS:Underground series. It also stinks of Burnout, and with Criterion at the helm, it's not a surprise.

But they are the baby games of the series. Simplified for the masses instead of the core NFS dynamic of going fast.
