Does 32GB on the desktop make sense?

Not sure I would want 32GB without ECC.

But it comes with a heatspreader to spread the non existant heat.

Not very good for ddr4. It has big latency and no speed improvement.
32Gb does make sense on a desktop.
My next pc will have at least Octa Core CPU and 64Gb.

It looks like a fragmented hard drive.

Tbh I've noticed my RAM heatspreaders are pretty toasty if left on for a while. Though unfortunately I've had to RMA one set for the 3rd time... I'm sure that if the 'cool' looks didn't sell they probably wouldn't bother though.

Poor overclocking results... because you didn't realise these will of course be Micron chips. These chips like low latency, they do not do high MHZ. Running my crucial value ram at 2600mhz, 13-13-13-32 1t perfectly fine for the last few months.
