Only if I ever stop playing games. Or are they using an exclusive definition of the word "gamer" there ('cause we all know how well that ends....)"At AMD, we believe that every gamer will eventually be sharing video of their plays, whether recorded or livestreamed,"
Complete bloatware I never install it. When has any gamer gone with 'auto' settings for any game.
putting my conspiracy hat on for a minute.
the auto-record last 30 seconds feature. do you think they'll eventually use this for 'bug reporting purposes'?
the game crashes, so it auto-uploads the video to AMD so they can review what you were doing to make the game crash.
Microsoft do it with Win 10 in the 'feedback and diagnostics' privacy settings. no reason other companies wont do it.
just a worrying thought prediction I had.
The rewards are pretty bad and rarely updated. The optimization feature always underestimates your system and the recording functionality lacks options and only integrates playstv (don't know anyone that uses that service) and twitch. I install it to check if the rewards got any better and then just disable it. If I ever want to record something, I use OBS instead.
I used it for some time, I got GRID with my points and one more game that I don't recall atm. The rewards are depleted for some time now, there is only an AMD GPU that need a lot of points to get and they added now some ingame items for some generic mmo.
I use the app to track load all my games. I actually quite like it for optimising my games and am generally please with the choices it makes.
However the recording facility is something I do not use and will not use. Who wants to watch a game being played. I would rather play the thing.
The points system is pants. I think it would take me about 7 years of playing games all day to get enough points for the low end gpu.
