Id want one of those starter batteries for my WD Green 2TB Drive. That thing takes close to 10 seconds to spin up -_-
for $349 they should have included an Ethernet port.
That thing looks razor sharp.
I was waiting to see the upcoming 4TB Samsung SSD's but this might be a good option depending on pricing.
I'd have thought a capacitor would be preferable to a battery in this application.
Not that aesthetics are important when it comes to storage. But this is one nice looking drive.
Hmm, I think it looks absolutely awful..!
Nice looking enclosure. Too bad it comes with a Seagate dongle.
If I'm honest I wouldn't want an 8TB 'portable' drive....as said considering the size of the thing they should have made it a network ready device. I'll let them off the 'debatable' design as I'll consider the possibility those fins actually help cool the hard drive.
Also the branding/marketing team for this product need to be fired... innov8, seriously that's so old and outdated it's stupid and why oh why did they use the macbook, it makes the device look huge. Nobody with a macbook is likely to buy something this bulky...
