EVGA pictures, according to an update in the article linked to by this one, were fake but real ones now exist apparently.

I'm undecided on their new design, it looks a little over the top to me, but it's a much nicer alternative to LEDs atleast.

Yeah, not a fan of the EVGA design shown - looks like Michael bay went wild with a Mechano set.

Zotac's design is the least offensive so far. Looking forward to MSI's design though - hopefully the usual red and black or perhaps green and black (which is more fitting).

Wouldn't the middle fan on the Gigiabyte card cause turbulence?

It presumably only spins at low loads when the others aren't spinning. But if not, turbulence can be good for cooling

I didn't measure precisely, but I don't think these are all to the same scale.

The Zotac card looks shorter, based on the connector. I have a Zotac 970 which is impressively compact and I like it. The real EVGA card might also be smaller.

Based on the I/O slot sizes, the Gigabyte card doesn't actually look that long. Zotacs Extreme on the other hand...

Re: AiB partner designed Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 cards pictured

Strix may now be the least abrasive design, almost too much so.

Basically pure black cooler if you turn the LEDs off (Assuming you can, though I have to wonder if they default to red unless you install ASUS software to turn them off).

After seeing EVGA's design, I may go for another MSI this time round. Seems like they've stuck with the same style as Maxwell but updated it slightly.

Seems to come with a backplate as standard on the 1080 too, so hopefully that transitions to the 1070 too, I haven't had problems with GPU droop/sag on my 760, but I saw it widely reported with the 970 and 980 cards, and the backplate supposedly helps with that a bit.
