    When running this via HDMI 1.4, does it report 30Hz like most cheaper 3440x1440 or 50hz like the Dell 34"? I ask because for older machines, there's a huge difference in smoothness between 30 and 50hz for desktop use.

    You can circumvent it with custom modes, but the Dell's 50hz EDID-reported frame rate make it much more plug'n'play than some other 34" units.

    Those are not great specs especially only only 78% sRGB coverage. I'd love a monitor with more vertical space though like 16:10 or 4:3
