I've gotta laugh at the that dual monitor setup, they've just invented a 16:9 ratio ~ 55" 4K panel...with a big black bar in the middle, for ~ £1700

Good thing it's for the professional market, because no (sane) home user would settle for 1080p vertical resolution on a monitor that wide.

How did we reach a point where home users stereotypically have higher standards than professionals?

Yup, the first thing that came to mind when Anandtech first reported it a few days ago. Why the hell would you do that, you're adding a multi monitor setup headache to your life. They really didn't think it through

It's 4K resolution, but half the height

Why would you pick that over something like this?

Aye, I actually use a 4K TV as my primary. Broke my monitor few years back, was forced into using a TV, now I can't imagine going back to a monitor. So much space!

Plus gaming is just a whole other league

I think LG's 42-inch 4K monitor with 4 separate inputs makes way more sense. It's also less than half the price.
