The big questions tho:
1) Does the 3rd PCI-E HAVE to be used for a physics card (or could, like it should, be able to throw my RAID controller in there)?
2) Will Crossfire work with a Master/Slave config even though the board is SLI?

A PCIe slot is a PCIe slot. Use it for whatever the hell you like. I used a PEG slot in SLI mode (8x/8x) for an 8x SATA RAID controller not so long ago.

I don't see much point is using a PEG 16 slot for the card. The Agea Phys-X card uses a normal PCI slot and presumably manages just fine.
I'm expecting to see "Geforce 8 with onboard physics" or something similar soon enough.
A third PCI-e 16x is more interesting to me. As mention lovely-fast RAID arrays
It's only got 8 lanes attached to it anyway.

Yeah theres always lot of confusion between slot size and electrical connections. 8x is plenty for most things, including graphics.
