Anyone got the new Saitek Eclipse II Keyboard?

I'm interested in the new Saitek Eclipse II Illuminated Keyboard
(http://www.techgage.com/article/sait...nated_keyboard) but I've heard that it has some issues when multiple keys are pressed at the same time.

Does anyone have this keyboard? What do you think of it?
Is it USB or PS/2? (I assume it's USB)

I've got its predecessor, and that's USB. I hope they've improved the lighting round the function and numlock keys, that was a bit weak if not viewed from directly above.

The best thing about the II is that it lights up through the keys so the letters are bright - however that means the keys themselves are clear with black paint, so not sure if that will wear through eventuall.

I have the Eclipse 1 too, and I've never had problems with multiple button presses. Playing CS:S I'm pushing 3-4 buttons at once no problems.

That's good to hear Rack as I've been getting a little worried that my potential purchase might be an expensive door stop!

I have the eclipse II ^^

Doesn't have anything bad i can pick up on, i have had no problem with multiple key pushing, and i play games and type a lot.

I fully recommend it.

Also the red is the best color imo ^^ most visible. The purple is a bit erm, pink

In daylight the actual keys are not that visible just the space between the keys, but at night it looks great

jackvdbuk, is this the one you mean? http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000G21TZW
That is the first version not the new one that can be any one of three colours and is considered better.

Don't want you to be disappointed on your birthday!

jackvdbuk, thanks for posting the Amazon link I was searching on there the other day and it wasn't listed. Their price is the best by far, the next best price (inc. del.) is GamePlay at £38.

Just an update to this thread, I've been the happy owner of the said keyboard for about 2 weeks now and am loving it. Got it for £30 from MicroDirect and played my first full day lanning this weekend with it. Didn't miss a beat and looked a treat!

I give it a thumbs up!
