    HEXUS.reviews :: Foxconn 975X7AB motherboard

    But the Foxconn does have another trick up its sleeve - the price. Costing a tad under £117 inc VAT, it's the cheapest i975X chipset board we know of by a significant margin, undercutting everything by at least £15 and most competitors by £30 or more. It's even cheaper than a number of lesser i965-chipset boards.

    Seems odd to compare it against a AM2 board, but looks like good value.

    I found that strange as well. I'd like to see a direct comparision with another 975x board (Abit maybe?). We all know Core 2 should be faster than AMD, so seems to defeat the point a bit

    Re: HEXUS.reviews :: Foxconn 975X7AB motherboard

    hi,

    can someone confirm that this version 975X7AB-8EKRS2H of the motherboard (not the 975X7AB-2.0-8EKRS2H) supports Quad Core cpus? I have mine running now with a Intel Pentium DualCore E2180 and wanted to upgrade to a Core 2 Quad Q6600 (Stepping G0, "Kentsfield") or
    Xeon 3210 ("Kentsfield").

    thanks

    /toro
