Only think they have better performance for 9500-9700 users as it has the 9800 data path included which increases AA and AF (i think)..

It definetly increases performance with my 9700

Most people install them to get a more stable PC with slightly better image quality, also the overlclocking utility is sweet.

i also find they help fix problems with certain games as well.

Not ran any becnchmarks yet but I have them installed.
There is a new "rTool" tweaker that seems to do prety much what the normal drivers offer you in ways of OpenGL and Direct3D settings.

Appart from that, all seems ok with the new ones

I always use the drivers direct from ATI the omega drivers are just the same drivers more or less with quality turned up more by default, most of witch you can do yourself in the control panel....

theres a few hundred hidden options within opengl and d3d which u probly dont know about, for example triple buffering (which just apeared in the drivers in 3.7) although u probly knew about that one. its good that they arnt shown (easy to make many games not work), imo omegas offer very good compatability with games, higher quality, but tiny performace loss (like 200 3d marks, nothing that would be noticable in game)
