| Shuttle SN45G and TwinMOS DDR400 RAM Please help me! (again... ) Got me shuttle back today after killing it with the vdimm jobby. I'm now trying to get it to work properly as it gets as far as starting windows then reboots. I believe the RAM is to blame, as I have run a test on it from floppy disk that showed up loads of errors (it was this that originally made me try changing the voltage of the ram in the first place). RAM is twinMOS DDR400 (2*512 mb) Athlon XP 2500 Radeon 9800 pro128mb Is there an issue in using this ram? I have read that it can cause problems on an nforce2 board. I currently have it set on by spd(?) in the bios. Anyone else have this ram? What settings in bios are best, or do I send it back and get another make? Cheers for all your help. Edit: I've now got the ram running at 333mhz bus (same as CPU) which passes all memtest tests. Still wont do windows, so I'm re-formatting and re-installing. Would like to get the ram at 400mhz fsb if possible though. Last edited by nb45; 15-04-2004 at 07:32 PM.. |
