I'm having an annoying problem with my HTC HD Mini...

I've only had it about a week, and to be honest it does pretty much everything I want from a phone, well it does MORE than I need, but that's not the point. Occaisionally it turns itself off randomly when left alone and I have to remove the battery for a few seconds in order to turn it back on again. It's not so bad when it happens once, but so far today it's happened at least half a dozen times and it's getting quite annoying.

It doesn't seem to matter what's left running in the background, or what I've just used it for so I'm more than a bit confused, has anyone else had similar trouble? Any help solving the problem would be much appreciated

Sounds faulty, My mother-in-law had one for a week or so (before she returned it to swap for a HTC Legend) but in that time this was not one of the reasons that she returned it, It was actually because the phone had very silly limitations on sending emails from different servers of which that you receive them from!

Good luck, it's supposed to be a good phone but personally I'd have an Android handset over this any day

Cheers dude, yeah I've been thinking it might be faulty but because it's such an intermittent problem I don't really want to send it off until I'm sure. I looked into a couple of Android handsets but to be honest the functionality is way more than I need (I've only just put my old Sony W810i out to pasture) and I wanted to go to a slightly cheaper tariff than the one I was on which would've meant paying for a handset, something I haven't done in years and am loathed to ever do again on contract to be honest.

It is actually a very nice little phone, when it works properly

Have a look through the HD Mini part of xda dev
    http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=591
and see if anybody else is having the same problem. Other than that itm ight be worth doing a hard reset (wipes the phone), and look for any radio updates (htc website or xda-dev). I would avoid flashing the phone with new OS if theres a chance of a hardware problem. On the winmo side of things, have you loaded
    http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-...opnmarket.html
on to i7t to get easy access to freeware?
