    android monthly security updates

    Hey,

how many of you with android phones are running marshmallow and out of those what month security patch are you on?

My Lg G4 on 02 is running marshmellow and I got the January security patch in February and haven't got a newer patch since.

I do like my LG G4 especially the camera but I do miss the pure android and quick updates that my previous phone which was the original Nexus 5.

Nexus 6p, always the latest, once the code hits the repository and is merged, I roll up a new version. (Basically stock minus some stuff).
Same as I did for my nexus 5.

Having tried a lot of phones I always end up back on a nexus.

    Re: android monthly security updates

Moto X Force, Security patch level is showing as December 2015. Disappointing, I thought Moto were always one of the first non-nexus phones to get the updates...

Edit: Just been onto Moto support, they say this is the security patch I should be on, they don't know when the next one will be coming. Not sure Moto will be my next phone...

So that phone hasn't been upgraded to Marshmallow yet? I presume that will be when you get the latest patch level, they won't invest much time in an old Android version.

Good to hear, and better than my Sony. The Motorola page I read said your phone didn't have 6.0 available yet, the Internetz lied to me OMG

    Re: android monthly security updates

I'm on the soak test register, maybe that's why I got it...
Seems weird they haven't pushed out a security update for 6 months...
