    Re: OnePlus 3

Direct daylight performance from the screen is pretty dire it has to be said. Had to turn brightness up to max to use the phone outside this morning. Still liking the phone a lot though but have found a couple of firmware bugs which is disappointing.

What type of bugs have you encountered?

I pulled the trigger on one too and it should be despatched on or before 25th June and arrive on or before 29th June. Let's see if 1+ will deliver there.

    Re: OnePlus 3

Um I've had one spontaneous reboot when the battery was getting low, and in the APN settings it wouldn't allow me to set an additional APN I had to modify the active one.

I haven't really done much research apart from read reviews of the phone so not familiar with bugs that the OP3 has.

The first one sounds annoying - when you say low is that sub 10% or like sub 30%? Second one doesn't seem too bad as I think it mainly affects MVNOs and not the main MNO?

Rather disappointed that my phone has still not dispatched even though I ordered some tempered glass screen protectors from China (£3 for 3!) on June 14th, and they've already arrived... I didn't order the phone till June 16th 10pm but would have thought they would at least be able to dispatch it by now!

    Re: OnePlus 3

HTC for me is almost dead. Market share wise. Behind on hardware, size, features. Prices still high for a mid-range phone. Thanks but no thanks.

    Re: OnePlus 3

    That was a quick turnaround...

    Update to what happened:
Original order on June 16th quoted a dispatch of June 25th and delivery June 29th.
June 25th came and no dispatch notice
June 26th came and 1+ sent an email out with $20 voucher and free delivery as apologies for delays, warning that stock wouldn't be delivered till 1st week of July.
I cancelled my order on the same day and then used the $20 voucher to place a new order
June 29th and my new order has been dispatched!

Let's see how long it'll take to arrive.

    Re: OnePlus 3

The rom doesn't appear to be too stable, currently on my 6th spontanious reboot now, but still loving the phone. Might have too root & unlock and load a 3rd party rom.

    Re: OnePlus 3

Arrived today but completely forgot it only took nano sim cards.

Will have to just use it on WiFi only for now (I could cut up my microsim card like I've done before but rather not risk damaging the sim card reader).

    Re: OnePlus 3

Just ordered mine. Looks outstanding for the price. Bought it earlier than I wanted under the threat of a price increase due to the pound taking a dive.

Installed it manually yesterday, sRGB mode improves things screen wise and also my random reboots appear to have stopped since i installed 3.1.3 a few days before latest update. Lets hope they continue with the frequent updates and Im still loving the phone.

    Installed the update too.

Actually prefer the saturation of the NTSC standard colours compared to sRGB.

Haven't had a single crash since I've had the phone though!

Thinking of getting a dbrand skin as cases will be too bulky but the phone is a bit too slippery to use as nice as the aluminium does feel!

I find that with aluminium-backed phones. And glass isn't much different TBH - I ended up using a cheap plastic screen protector on the back of my Nexus 4 purely because it made it easier to grip than the glass!

For reasons like that I really don't see the problem with plastic, provided it's a good plastic (and not that rubberised stuff that goes horribly sticky after a while). It's all well and good making something out of what people perceive as 'premium' materials if most of them end up sticking a 99p silicone case on it anyway... /rant

I also find a lot of recent phones are too thin in that they're awkward to pick up off the table without a case of some description.

Got Dbrand skins but haven't applied them yet, also have bamboo, wood, sandstone & Kevlar One+ cases for the phone and they really are quite thin and don't spoil the phone but make it easier to grip. Also have a Nilkin hard plastic case and that is very good too but it thicker than the One+ ones.

I find the 99p silicone or TPU cases the most tacky! It's a shame the phone looks so lovely but I might have to cover it up with a case and screen protector. The glass screen is just lovely to use or maybe I've just been too used to the plastic screen protector that they put on there and the crappy 99p glass screen protectors that I buy.

Wow, you've really kitted out on the accessories side of things!

Just installing the OxygenOS 3.2.2 update now. Hopefully it'll help a bit with the battery life but I think my main drainer is Pokemon Go at the moment!

Got to say the Dash charge never ceases to amaze me though!
