    Samsung Galaxy S

Is anyone really looking forward to this device?

It is due out sometime in the next two weeks, and looks to be one of the best android phones to date.

gsmarea did a very comprehensive review recently, and loved it!

It's amazing, but is missing a flash (for the camera). Samsung have promised a Froyo update as well.

In the UK the cheapest pre-order price is about £430, and Vodafone are due to be releasing the contract details soon.

Who will be getting one of these?!?

    Re: Samsung Galaxy S

Got a Samsung Galaxy here and can honestly say it was the worst purchase I have ever made. I'd recommend steering clear of samsung - they are useless for updates (they promised us cupcake back about a yr ago and STILL avn't delivered).

They might be with the game technologically (spec wise) but they are abysmal at customer service AND software updates - It's like all they give a crap about is getting your money.

Don't get me wrong -for things like TV's they are awesome (I got 2 samsung HDTV's) - but they're 'smartphones' arent worth touching with a barge pole.

    Re: Samsung Galaxy S

i don't know what it is, but all the Samsung devices seem to pass me by. I just don't take them seriously as handset manufacturers. This could be due to their terrible user interfaces for non-smartphones, their inconsistent OS's and their lack of user community (like you have for HTC)

    Re: Samsung Galaxy S

looks like a real nice device but the original Galaxy is a real put off, it's a shame as the specs and interface are really good but considering the contract length it isn't a wise investment
