I purchased a Vista 64-bit iOEM Version installed it twice, because it's an OEM and i was using XP, Activation was a breeze also, works great no problems so far, all my games work as they should, Call of Duty2, GRAW2, BF2, BF2142, and come this Friday Medal of Honor Airbourne hopefully.
I just happened to buy a new system so installing vista on an old pc wasen't going to be the issue.
I've seen vista ultimate 64-Bit OEM for under £100.
Why pay extra just for one less install.

I have never tested that but if you buy edu and do the double install method you effectively get retail, which means you can switch from 32<>64........Not sure about OEM, probably a call to MS will sort that out but thats a guess.

Well, I'll likely be using a 32-bit dualboot of XP and Vista for a while anyways (I'm not sure if my older PC titles will work in 32 bit Vista, let alone the 64-bit version). I might just wait for Windows 7 to go 64-bit, to be honest; it'll be out within a couple of years anyways.

The next version of Windows has been announced and is supposed to be released in 2010. It's 'supposed' to feature a new UI/version of Explorer designed by the team who designed the Ribbon interface for Office 07. The next version of Windows is considered a major update (like Vista and XP were).
