Today, I rather like AIMP2
I've been playing with AIMP2 - a lovely little winamp-replacement. It's not as full featured as winamp (which is good but a bit lardy thesedays) but I rather like it. Why not have a go?

Re: Today, I rather like AIMP2
i want a winampesque player which works well with DAAP and/or UPnP network shares.
Re: Today, I rather like AIMP2
Go post in the dev's forums ;)
I'm getting weirdly convinced this sounds better than winamp (which is weird) too.
Though, to be honest, the onboard sound on the PC is utter crap.

Re: Today, I rather like AIMP2
Yup that's nice too but have you tried AIMP2? :)
Re: Today, I rather like AIMP2
fb2k is nice, but I don't like spending ages getting to look nice, so I stick with Winamp for justnow.
I'll give AIMP2 a go when I get home though!
Re: Today, I rather like AIMP2
I might do when I get home :)
I meant purely in terms of aesthetics ;)
Re: Today, I rather like AIMP2
Don't get me wrong - choice is good - and on this count it's very subjective but out of the box AIMP2 has impressed me so far and i'd never heard of it till yesterday :)
I think i've been using winamp for er.. ever ;)
Re: Today, I rather like AIMP2
the thing is winamp 2.x was the dogs bollocks.
Its plugin system was simple.
Its Visualisations where cool, with many excellent plugins been written. Such as Milkdrop (which is just awsome, runs on low spec pc's too!).
I've been so tempted to sit down and write a wrapper for milk drop, so that it thinks its running in winamp when really its running off the sound card.

Well the original author left the ship didn't he and feature creep is inevitable in products owned by large corporations :(
