You said you had it before it was signed off. There are several "RTM" builds floating about with different build versions.

Until Microsoft release the exact build number that has been RTM, no one knows for sure which, if any, is the real one.
Er, seen as i use Newsgroups no. The RTM is the iso i downloaded the other day: 7600.16385

Well then perhaps telling all and sundry you're going to pirate windows wasn't such a good idea m'kay? Or haven't you worked that one out yet? Nothing personal, it's just that violating your EULA for your technet sub doesn't put you on a moral high ground - and being arrogrant about it isn't very clever either.. This is, of course, supposing you even have that sub. But you've no need to explain yourself to me, as you said.

Fact remains, the hashes might not match. Best wait untill you start installing an un-verified ISO. Just to be on the safe side

    Re: Windows 7 RTM

Am I alone in not giving a rats ass about all the leaked builds? RC is fine, and I'll grab the official release from an official source (Technet) when it's officially released.

+3 Actually. Even throught it is leaked I will still buy it (everything I have heard has not changed my mind about Windows 7), mainly because I actually want a key. I agree, nightkhaos. Piracy is just not worth all the time and hassle. I've ordered a full retail version of Windows 7 home premium from tesco for £45 (pre-release price) plus p&p. Windows has never been so cheap!

You push the subs price up for people who actually use these services correctly as you are stealing.

And if you pirate it you have no idea what they have cooked into it, so you don't know what is in there

I have happily bought a retail licence for it, it will get enough use on my main pc alone, I might buy another for my spare pc as a full retail is much more useful than an abused technet sub where they can block the keys (and my uni might get it for personal use also if I'm lucky for my laptop if I get a new one)
    I've got stuff for sale!
