    Vector graphics editor

Hexus, I'm looking for a free vector graphic editing software to draw fancy figures and diagrams for my dissertation, something along the lines of Adobe Illustrator but free.

Bonus points if the software supports Wintab or N-Trig tablets.

    What can you recommend?

    Try Inkscape - http://inkscape.org/

Edit: No idea about tablet support, but worth a go!

    Re: Vector graphics editor

There's also Dia. It seems to be more biased towards creating diagrams then Inkscape. Inkscape seems to be more for creating vector art.
