15mins to download and integrate?!
I run from a RAM drive and don't get close to that. Please check it
Done the download and update all option then did the pro install. This time there was 30 updates after a restart and then dropped to 26 after a couple of minutes.
I did notice in this time that there were reports of .msu may have failed due to pending updates to servicing components in the image. Try the command again. This happens straight after Error: 112
It starts with windows6.1-kb2937610-x64
Can I make one suggestion Make it something other than /Program - My windows kept complaining about it at me.
Thanks. I looked into it earlier on and I'm just seeing nothing like that my end. It was only a quick look, so I will check it again when I'm more awake.
I tried on 2 separate machines and they both got all the updates integrated.
The pending service is almost certainly the cause, but I'm not sure why (yet). If this was your own ISO, I'd suggest something was wrong with it, but if it's the downloaded one it can't be that.
Maybe some DISM weirdness on your local machine. What OS are you using?
What was complaining exactly, and why? It's just a directory name. Nothing should care about it. Give me some more info and I can try to help
I unzipped it to C:\ and it was saying C:\Program may make some files not work - it suggested renaming to program 1.
Also ran it again and can see the updates integrating - 2mins 30 and its on update 41/262. Am using an i7-950 (OC) and a Samsung 840Pro SSD.
I can only guess that the samsungs high write IOPS is making a large difference on this.
EDIT: 18minutes 21 sec later all updates completely integrated and ISO Built
Will do the install tomorrow when i rebuild this.
I will test the 32bit once I have converted it to a network bootable image and will run it on machines at work.

Windows 7 - and I believe it was windows popping up with the error.
Got a better idea - leave it to run from a USB 2 Pendrive and watch the NAND explode.

EDIT: After looking back had some DISM errors - Would you like a .log file?
EDIT 2: Also the 18mins or so was for on eintegration my bad.
Agent, after having a bit of a think could the problem be that I already have things like waik and other related stuff already on my machine?
That's the only thing I can't think of other than I am in a domain (but I am admin).
I will try a fresh install and run your script there and see how it goes.

If you're having issues, a log file would be useful, yep
Possibly. I'm willing to entertain anything right now
It downloads the binaries from the WAIK it needs and stores them separately. I'm wondering if there is some sort of conflict going on.
I thought everything from Vista came with DISM by default though....hummm
Agh, wish I could replicate this.
Ran it overnight patching an x64 Image and installed it this morning. Windows update showed 14 Updates Available + 4 Optional, but otherwise seems to be working.
I did have one idea for your update that wouldnt work.
Try triggering an automatic restart after installing windows then run the install.
- I will remake tonight (as I need to build some more stuff in) and include the error log.
For the drivers are EXE drivers ok, or do they need to be the standard sysadmin packages (*.sys // *.ini) type.
That said seems to be working fairly well so far. I have an integrated x64 and x86 ISO. Do you think your tool is capable of patching both on the same ISO - or will I need to select 1 image and build each time.
The message about C:\Program seemed to be triggered on reboot of the PC (Though am not 100% sure if its windows doing this)
EDIT: Also what happened to W7 Starter from these ISOs (not that I use it but have a client who insists on using it)?
Thanks for making this. I just received an 512GB MX100 from Scan today. My plan is to reinstall on that. A slipstreamed installer will help a lot.
I'll then take my old 96GB SSD out and use that in my Mum's laptop, which is my old cheap and cheerful Packard Bell from wayyy back. It has a 75GB HDD, but it has a HUGE 12Gb recovery partition. She's running out of space and the HDD is slow due to its low data density. They have an extremely limited ADSL plan, I am sure they would nuke it just getting all the updates, so this installer will save them, also saving me loads of time. So thank you!
So yea what format for the drivers .sys or can just run exes with silent option?
