    Angry Plex Subtitles

For some strange reason even when I set the subtitles to be off by default on the server they are still when I play from a client, the weird thing is if you then try and turn them off on client it gets an Error:2 and restarts from the beginning but with the subs on still.

Anyone seen this before or know a fix?

    Re: Plex Subtitles

Are these hardcoded subs or are they in a separate .srt file?

hardcoded subs are built in with the video file, so cannot be removed.
If they are on an .srt file, you could remove or rename the file to stop them coming on.

    Re: Plex Subtitles

You'd be better posting on the Plex forums. They're generally very helpful.

You can have embedded subs in the video file, with the ability to remove them. They're a separate stream in the file, like audio.
Many tools out there will remove, alter, extract that subs track.

If they're hardcoded onto the video, you're pretty much knackered.
