Fullscreen Mode in Chrome (not fullscreen everytime)

Hi all,

At first I thought it was an extension bug but it happens to me that sometimes I cannot watch videos on completely fullscreen when I want it to. For Example when I click fullscreen on YT it would not hide the top bar:



Because it is locked into the browser:



However when I watch another YT video on another tab it works just fine going completely fullscreen like it always has been:



It is not only on Youtube as it has happened on other websites as well.

Has any Chrome user experienced this? Edge was fine btw. And sorry if this kind of topic has been posted before but I cannot find or google any similar posts

that's happened with me a few times over the last week or so.
only seemed to happen if id been watching lot of videos in one tab, without closing the tab/chrome.

exit chrome and its fine again.

I'm guessing its a cache problem. cba to look further into though, just close chrome and re-open fixes it.

only extension enabled is 'Avira safe search'.

Workaround could be to hit F11 and force Chrome into fullscreen mode.

Probably go for a re-install of Chrome, not something that's happened to me before.
