    Laptop as Media Center Extender

Does anyone know if it's possible to use a Vista laptop as a Media Center Extender to a Vista HTPC? I have a TV card in my HTPC but I don't have one for my laptop and I wanted to save myself some cash.

Alternatively, does anyone know how to stream from WinTV 2000 (Hauppauge) straight to my laptop?

Re: Laptop as Media Center Extender

AFAIK there is still no media center extender software available, the only way to extend in vista/windows media center is to buy a set top box with that capability (rare in the UK) or use an xbox 360. Streaming from your htpc to your laptop would also have to be a pre recorded source, don't think you could stream live tv, but others may correct me.
