    Question Free Photocopy Software?

    Hey,

    Does anyone know any good free photocopy software? I used to use Simple Copier, but the price has gone up to 30 Euros! Any good freeware stuff out there?

    The scanner is really really old (HP ScanJet 5300C), and the software I have on CD only works on Windows 98! I could download an updated version from the HP site I guess, but this is a totally fresh install of windows and I don't wanna screw it up with bloated crap (the installer is 77MB apparently!).

    Just want a handy free streamlined program is anyone knows of one...

    Cheers,

    Suman

    Can you get hold of the twain drivers and then use something like PSP? - dunno if that would do what you are after?

    Not sure what exactly TWAIN drivers are, but it is fully recognised in XP and I can scan using the built in stuff. But it's for my dad, and I just want a program that he can open and press "Copy", which would send the scanned image directly to the scanner. That's what SimpleCopier used to do...

    Cheers,

    TWAIN=Technology Without An Interesting Name.

    As for scanning does he use Office? There's Microsoft Office Document Scanning, which should do what he wants and it's part of the Office 2003 suite

    Ahh ok lol

    Yeah he just got a shiny new Office 2003 SBE CD with his new Dell, so I'll get him to try it out. Installed the old freeware version of SimpleCopier for now though!
