    Re: SSD Brands?

I've used a Crucial C300 which really turned me off Crucial.. Had many random issues when my laptop crashed... Moved to Sandisk Extreme II SSD and it's been a gem! My next SSD combo will be the Samsung SM951 256GB NVME SSD + 960GB Sandisk Extreme Pro SSD!

    Re: SSD Brands?

I have had good results with the Samsung 850 PRO. But it is too expensive to use for anything more than the operating system and programs. For secondary storage, I am considering Corsair or Intel. Any other suggestions?

Suggest looking out for the Sandisk Extreme Pro.. Good deals around but you need to be fast to catch them.. Got my 960GB one for £250..

If you want cheap storage and don't mind TLC ssd's, 850 evo is pretty cheap.. Stay away from Corsair, they're no good.. Intel doesn't have many good options at low price..

For just storage, this is not a bad deal at all, https://www.scan.co.uk/products/960g...s-85k-60k-iops

    Re: SSD Brands?

We've got 4 sandisk ultras in 4 Dev computers. Had no problems for two years. Left powered 24\7 . So I'm sticking with them after reading other horror stories.

    Re: SSD Brands?

Have used, OCZ and Kingston ssd's
    Would happily recommend Kingston again!
    OCZ... Not so much

Intel have their new 540s though - that's a pretty solid looking ssd!
