    Drakes Fortune

Anyone else playing Drakes Fortune at all, in my eyes it's the best game of it's type in years! I'm nearly there in terms of completion (7 hours play) but it's captured my in ways other games just haven't. The graphics are stunning and hopefully showcase what the PS3 can actually do.

Hopefully there will be a long running series, much like Tomb Raider.

If you've got a PS3 but not this game then I highly suggest you get your hands on it!

Really was game of the year for me last year (on any platform) so can easily see how you guys put it in the top 10 games of last year thread. Im about half way through so far (not had allot of game playing time this year so far).

Good news is that it has been reported that the vice president of naught dog let slip that part2 is now in development

I'm currently playing this on my friends PS3. I think it is one of the best looking PS3 games and has excellent gameplay to go with it, definitely deserved to be in the top 10 games of last year.
My only complaint would be that it is so short, I've played it for 3 hours and I'm 37% through it. I reckon it will take me 9 - 10 hours to complete which isn't very long considering the game costs £40 - £50. I can't really complain as I didn't have to pay for it

I'm glad to hear that a sequel will be coming out. Should have my own PS3 by then

absolutely loved this game from start to finish - i will be playing it through again soon on the 'brutal' setting, although i found it quite challenging on hard!
would totally recommend this game to every ps3 owner!

I thoroughly enjoyed it as well. In a way I'm glad it was quite short; I loved every bit and there didn't seem to be any filler. I've already replayed it once on hard and have started a third time on Brutal, which lives up to it's name (or maybe I just suck ). Hopefully I'll find the last few treasures this time too...

One thing I've found really nice is the making of videos etc. They round off the package nicely and are just as high quality and interesting.

Drakes fortune is the game that made me feel like i DID do the right thing buying my ps3.
we need more titles like this. I try and buy my games on / off, 1 month for my 360, 1 month for my ps3.
trouble is im finding it difficult to buy anything for my ps3. i want the orange box but thats gonna be on a 360 month, cheaper and smoother. dmc4 is possibley gonna be on a ps3 month, but its again cheaper and reportidly looking better on the 360. Drakes is amazing, its like gears meets tombraider. its a true showase game and i cant wait for a sequal but in the mean time roll on MGS4.

A great title indeed. What happened to all the good adventure games. Both Playstation 1 & 2 had some classics. Roll on more great titles like this one.

Bought this game a few weeks ago and simply loved. Its been a while since I bought a game and not stop playing it until I've completed it. It has all the magic that a lot of recent titles have been missing and if Drake 2 can improve on this title then it too will be an instant classic. A MUST BUY for any PS3 owner!

I loved Drake. Brill game kept me going back for more, and just the right length too. Not too long, not too short.

This just got a patch that enables trophies - the perfect excuse to go back and play it again.
Unfortunately (?) you need to start a new game to earn the trophies as they aren't retrospective. I think this is the 4th time I've played through it and it's still great fun.
