Warner Backs Blu-ray!!
HD-DVD is as good as dead?
With warner backing Blu-ray (which i have also mentioned in the Audio/Visual Channel) and only Universal and Paramount backing HD-DVD (and could they be defecting soon...), does that mean the death of HD-DVD? Many are saying yes. ![]() LINKS: BBC NEWS | Technology | Warner backs Sony Blu-ray format Warner Bros sides with Blu-ray - vnunet.com Toshiba responds to Warner Blu-ray move // GamesIndustry.biz Live Stuff : CES - is HD-DVD dead? |

Re: Warner Backs Blu-ray!!
Old news? Yes!
Wrong section? Probably- should this not be in the AV section? This happened just before CES and was the reason HD-DVD withdrew their speech. |

Re: Warner Backs Blu-ray!!
Not news, been around for ages. Does not mean that HDDVD is going fold over and die.
Multi-format is still what it looks like for the near to medium term. |

Re: Warner Backs Blu-ray!!
i'd say blu ray will clinch it now which is a shame as hd dvd is better for the consumer im told.
the only reason this annoys me is blu ray films seem to be a bit pricier than hddvd i dont have a hd dvd player or blu ray player so i havent personally lost out. as for the fact i own a 360, im sure ms could quite easily develp a blu ray drive for it. |
