I am thinking of getting the Sony PS3 Dual Shock 3 controller
![]() I have read somewhere that it will “rumble” with most games but not all Some games need “an update” but If I am unable to get on line does that mean I can’t update the controller or will the new controllers have the softwhere built in to rumble without needing to go on line I am thinking in particularly of Motorstorm ![]() Cheers Mike |

Re: Sony PS3 Dual Shock 3 controller updates
hey mate, basically games with an upcoming release close to the new pad will more than likely have been patched for the rumble feature but for the older games wanted to give te player the rumble feature will have to be updated through an automatic online patch update through the PS - but im sure theres a website where you can download PS3 game patches from, and if there is you can just use a memory stick to manually update certain titles.
in theory anyway - hope that kind of helps |

Re: Sony PS3 Dual Shock 3 controller updates
I believe thats correct. I have an import DS3 that rumbles just fine in GT5 Prologue but it won't work with a UK copy of Ratchett & Clank.(there's no rumble setting within the game menu, but the PS3 is set-up with rumble on in the menu) I'll try it tonight with Motorstorm.
