    Question Okay I've just bought a PS3....

    Hey all,
I just bought a PS3 with Burnout, Ratchet & Clank and Resistance Fall of man.

So far have only had a chance to play Burnout but am loving it

Anyway, what kind of cool things should I be doing with my PS3? (I know I need to installing Folding@Home!)

    Thanks all and happy gaming,
    Leon

    um...

you could use it as a upnp client (e.g. to watch recordings from a mythtv server)

Ahh nice suggestion Mr Hex. Hmmm I wonder whether the PS3 will play ISO films (non copyrighted material) from my NAS drive.

    /off to investigate

no. but it'll play VOBs, if your upnp server is so inclined

If your using a Mac, install MediaLink so you can share your media with your PS3.

Install folding@home and join the HEXUS team. My PS3 has been on for about 3 months now!

Buy yourself Drakes Fortune and Devil My Cry 4 oh and pre-order GTA4.

A rough guess of the conversation:

    "...so I bought myself a PS3"
    "oh? why?"
"Liked it, what should I do with it?"
"Throw it out the window and buy yourself an Xbox..."

    Am I close?

Anyway, I don't want to turn this into a war in the Sony forum, these is enough other people to do that

Could try playing your favourite PS2 games, upscaled! Shadow of the Colossus ftw!

There's a few decent games available fairly cheap just now if you have a hunt about. Good for building the collection. PC games, PSP games, XBox 360 games and games for GameCube, NDS and PS2 - Cheap video games price comparison is always good for that !

Just snapped up VF5 and Virtua Tennis for round about £15 each, rather good bargains I felt

There's plenty on the Store to keep you entertained too, if you haven't already downloaded a multitude of demos
