Microsoft Screws Self for future gaming?
Playstation Network @ Home: Microsoft Screws Self for future gaming?
Just read this article over at psn@home. It has some interesting points but nothing really that i didnt know already. If you got a few minutes it's worth reading what effy wrote, he try's to sit on the fence with this and not go too fanboy but does he manage it? Who's smilling and nodding and who's shaking their head in disgust after reading this? or bored of the whole thing!!! |

Re: Microsoft Screws Self for future gaming?
Bored senseless with the whole 'debate'. A console is only as good as the games you can play on it. I got an Xbox 360 a while back as there were more games I wanted to play. Then I got a Wii for the same reason.
It looks like BR has won the format war, but then both HD-DVD and BR use the Microsoft VC-1 codec, so they're laughing all the way to the bank in any case. I'll probably get a PS3 at some point, when there's something I can't play on my XBox 360, or Wii, or PC, but frankly I don't understand why people have to jump up and down saying how much better their console is. I'd rather be playing games...... |

Re: Microsoft Screws Self for future gaming?
Just to confirm.
Sony are saying that the microsoft console sucks because they monitor the user content and make sure its of a high standard and not buggy? |

Re: Microsoft Screws Self for future gaming?
i agree, cant mock people or the consoles they play - its the first thing i get when a friend asks what console im using "uuurgh PS3!" its just a stereotype . . . but i have got my comebacks. but anywho, i reciently bought a new TV to get the Max use of Blueray games and my Blueray DVD's (only the Elite get bought on BR
) and i have to say i love it, just glad the hardware is in the console i prefer and looks be staying a while ![]() |

Re: Microsoft Screws Self for future gaming?
I don't really get into the whole 360/PS3 debate. I bought a PS3 last year due to blu-ray, reliability, easy HDD upgrade and low noise in comparison. Knowing that the top games will come through over the next year.
I'm not arguing the PS3 is better, its just what I wanted. |

Re: Microsoft Screws Self for future gaming?
When fanboys start wittering on about their choice of console and generally being annoying turds, I usually ask them what brand their oven / kettle / microwave / washing machine is, and start cacking on about that:
"OMG UR USIN A HOTPOINT? CREDA R SO MUTCH BETTER U NO! BETTER RPM AND FASTER RINSE CYCLE. U SUX LOL!" |

Re: Microsoft Screws Self for future gaming?
Ahh that's a common misconception since patch 3.1 the Bosch does have online option but still no access to deathmatch, but it does make my pants lovely and clean!!!!

Re: Microsoft Screws Self for future gaming?
Now having both a PS3 and an XBOX 360 i can still say without a doubt xbox live is WAY better than PSN at the moment, PS store is a joke. The future for the PS3 looks bright, but at the moment if i had to choose one it would be the 360. Could change in the future PS3 has a ways to go though.

Room for more FMV LOL5!!!1
Its just like watching a movie. A movie with poor plot/dialogue (often made worse with dodgy translations) and shamefully bad acting. Im not talking about any specific platform/media here, but blurring the line between games and movies is not always a good thing. |

Re: Microsoft Screws Self for future gaming?
I think there should be a web campaign to educate people on the spelling of Blu-ray!! Its the most commonly mis-spelt word on Hexus by a long way
![]() If Home is well implemented and manages to pull game publishers and other brands in to the world then it could be a massive success for Sony and one that draws more people to the PS3. |
