    MGS4 online beta

Has anyone given this a bash yet? I've been playing it a bit recently (taken up my CoD4 slot in the evenings) and I've been rather enjoying it, I dislike any of the irons sights I've come across so far and the red dot sight is a load of balls, but the game itself is a lot of fun, I like all the objective based games and the DB points thing in some games can be interesting, it's just a pity it seems to further imbalance and unfair teams. It's also nice to see additional maps being released as time goes on, I was dreading only being able to play blood bath the whole time!

well i got stuck at 30% on the second patch and since then the worls has stopped for gta4, so no i dont think i'm actually going to get a chance to play it, but it's nice to know its actually working.
Think i might just delete the data that's there already and play it when i get the full game.

I used the p2p for each update which was slow but worked fine. I'm resisting the temptation that is GTA4, played it at a friends house and was highly impressed but I know it's going to be a time consuming game and be very hard to put down. Hopefully I'll have free time at the end of this month to be able to get a good go of it.

    Re: MGS4 online beta

Ive played a few matches online... and i can say its very good, initial reactions are such that the gameplay is very smooth, the graphics are sharp and i expect the full game to be a little bit sharper too...

My main Gripe is that i got disconnected twice...

I imagine this would be down to the servers suffering and from what i read the "hosts" router, or network not being strong enough to sustain the game itself so thier console crashes leaving everyone else in game left hanging with connection problem... btu this is why they release Beta's, so they can iron out the kinks
