Disapointed Ending

Due to my 3 week old daughter deciding to stay up all night on Friday I manged to complete Assasins Creed on the PS3. She seemed quite happy sitting on my lap whilst I did this, I hope she has not been mentally scared byt he experiance.

Now when I made my last kill I sat down to soak in the glory of a beautiful cut scene hailing me as the hero of the day and providing me with some nice stats and a reaosn to play again.

But no nothing, some dodgy end scene which basically was a supposed cliffhanger so you will buy the next one I guess.

I remember the days when the end scenes used to be the best part of the game and made you feel like you had achieved something.

Is it just me?

the most disappointing ending for me was some world war 2 game (i forget which) where you escape an exploding underground facility, jump on a train, and a fellow soldier says "well done". fade to black, the end.

I agree, the ending of AC is pretty bad. Most games these days have cliff hanger endings to allow for sequels . Some times they never make a second one!

the worst ending was Pit Fighter on the SNES

"Game Over" .... the same as if you died in the first screen.

For some reason that rings a bell what was the game? I am also trying to rack my brain to remember the endings of the Leisure Suit Larry and Monkey Island Games.

Medal of honor - Allied Assualt was the game with that crappy ending. And the reason it was crappy is because the game started of so dam well, Omar beach landing was superb.

As for assains creed, yep the ending was pants but for me the game started to go sour around 1/2 way, did you check out all the strange writing in the bedroom?

kane and lynch has a crappy ending too, i went to the village instead of the helicopter and all you do is get into a boat and lynch gets shot falls in with you and jenny s being cradled by kane then fade out .

is the helicopter as bad

i was hoping for a big twist and a video fight/death scene
eg. the 7 leader is a cop
or ....as you float away the scene cuts to one of the 7's face and then their eyes open... for revenge.

There has only been one ending to a game which made it worthwhile, as the endings on most games are rubbish, and don't give you that satisfying feeling.

The game I refer to is Uncharted. Brill intro, brill game, brill end. 'nuff said.

First one:guybrush goes to stop the wedding, elaine comes down from the ceiling, the bride was two monkeys, lechuck smacks guybrush round the island, guybrush lands in a grog machine, stan starts chatting crud and gets walloped, lechuck gets guybrush out the grog machine,guybrush sprays lechuck with root beer, lechuck explodes with purdy fireworks, elaine turns up, guybrush says "you know lechuck was a deviant, obnoxious, slithery creepy-crawly sort of a guy, but i'll say one thing for him" "he sure looks nice exploding against the night sky" elaine says "yes it's very romantic", shows herman toothrot still on the island, ends with Guybrush saying never pay more than 20bucks for a game. watch it HERE

Second One:Guybrush wedgies lechuck, lechuck keeps magicing him, guybrush makes a voodoo doll,guybrush tears leg off voodoo doll, dog runs off with arm,guybrush takes lechucks mask off, lechuck says he's pissed with guybrush because of his Junior Ultra Soldier Commando Assult Vehicle, he asks guybrush to stick his leg back on, a random guy turns up and tells them to get out, they go out and their parents scold them, and they go off to go on a ride. ends with elaine standing outside the big whoop excavation site. watch both parts HERE and HERE

Third one: the snow monkey thingy blows up. watch it HERE

Fourth: The big monkey and auzzy mandril face off, auzzy gets squished. watch it HERE

Taken nearly 2 hours to do this

Fable - you finally get to the end boss, who you can kill in about...ohhh...30 seconds......and for doing that? You get the most bad-ass sword out of the entire game. Once its been completed. Thanks for that.

The worst one ever DreamFall: Longest Journey.

I played the original game longest journey and liked.

Dreamfall was very, very nice.

I guess looking at it, It isn't really so much a game, but an interactive story. One that sucked me in.
It really made you care about the lead character Zoe.
Absolubtley Epic. As you played it, It felt really good to see the characters again from the
Longest Journey. One of those that seemed as though it would answer all those questions left from the first game.

What Bloody Happens? Lets just say the game comes to a sudden end, just as things start to climax.
A kind of To Be Continued kind of thing.

Which would be bad enough, but this is more an interactive story than a game, and good one at that.
2 years have passed and still no word on the conclusion to this game.

So many questions unanswered.

All those peoples theorys on the forum and no one any closer to finding out if they are right.
