Rainbow six vegas - low quality visuals?

    Hi,
Just got rainbow 6 vegas (first one), and it looks almost as bad as when i played cod4 (on xbox) on a normal (standard def) tv. Everything looks a bit blured (this is on a 1080p tv)

Is this normal? (Although, i guess, even if it isn't -- there isn't anything i can do to change it. i checked all the settings (main ps3 setting is set to 1080p, no useful settings actually within Rainbow 6)

on the main ps3 menu & gran turismo, it looks normal (as you would expect from hd)

Right, i'm sure i've read something about this when the game first came out.
You say you've set the Ps3 at 1080p, have you tried setting it to 720p or even 1080i, because i'm sure there was talk about it not being able to handle 1080p....i'm trolling now and hopefully i'll pull up some info.

ahh little more light.. just as i thought this is a quote from game chronicles review

I also had some serious issues trying to play the game at 1080i. Ultimately, I settled on 720p, which fixed the graphics glitches and probably ended up netting me a few more frames per second, but this could be a serious problem for people with TV’s that don’t offer native 720p support. There are definitely upconversion issues.

Ahh this is from the offical RSV Forums

Criterion recently announced that they were able to patch Burnout so that it supports 1080 for HDTVs that do not accept a 720p signal.
Currently Rainbow 6 does not support 1080. so if your HDTV only accepts 1080i this game will play in 480p SD on your HDTV, you will not see this game in HD.

So then thats the final answer

    Ps3 version plays 720p

Oh and the 360 plays 1080p . ouch

To be fair on my 360 elite in 1080p R6V2 looks good but R6V looks utterly crap. Its very blurry and hard to see in the distance.
