Just jumped ship to the PS3, so...games!?

I've just traded in my 360 & got a PS3 Slim, currently playing through Uncharted 2 (not that impressed with the gameplay at the moment but only at part 4 so will give it time)

I changed consoles for media reasons & as I'd played all the 360 exclusives so wanted to try something different. So far I'm interested in the list below but does anyone have any other suggestions? I'm not into Football/Racing so really it leaves shooters!

    Uncharted
    Resistance
    Resistance 2
Haze (I know it sucks, badly, but is is worth a tenner?)
    Killzone 2
inFamous (but only when it costs less than £30!)
    LBP (only as it's cheap)

I've had 10mins browsing the PS store so will get some more demos later on, I've scanned the Metacritic charts for ones that stand out.

So does anyone have any good suggestions?

    Cheers!

    Rob

Haze is not worth playing even if you got it for free.
    I thought Uncharted 2's gameplay was spot-on...what a game.

    Other exclusives include

    Metal Gear Solid 4...
Afrika - driving round the plains taking photo's
Agent - made by rockstar due out 2010.
Demon Souls - Rockhard but a brilliant game
    Eyepet - Newcastle sim...
    Motorstorm + Motorstorm Pacific Rift
Ninja gaiden Sigma 1+2 ( not exactly exclusives but you wont find these versions on 360)
    Pain - funny psn game
Ratchet and clank games, actually very good
Singularity - new FPS by Raven due out 2010
    Heavenly Sword
    Siren - Blood curse
    Wipeout HD
    Modnation Racers
God of war 3 - due out 2010
    Gran Turismo 5 - due out 2010

Pixeljunk monsters - one of the best games released on the PS3
    Savage moon
    Wipeout HD + fury addon
    Shatter
Bishi Bashi special - ps1 classics

It all depends on the games you like.

gtech has summed up the best titles well.

Also can not overstate this enough - Get Demon's Souls. Not many people have heard of it as is not "in the shops" and will probably not get a Euro release. But it is heavily talked about and imported online. Its like going back to the old days in regard to difficulty of some classic titles - very tough but very rewarding rpg/action game. Immense and personally my game of the year on any platform (and no i still not completed it - grrrrrrrrrrrrrr)

Nice. I'll give that to Dylan (Pixeljunk's CEO/my cousin!). I've had to good look at 'Shooter' (It is only in JPN yet?) - like that. I don't even have a PS3!

I have both machines and have been swaying over to PS3 over the past few months. I am keeping my 360 for another Gears game, Mass Effect and a few other console specific titles.

Looking on my shelf I now own more PS3 games than I do 360. I do like both machines though.

Favourites at min are Batman, UFC, GTA 4, Resi 5 and Drakes Fortune. I do prefer the 360 controller but the PS3 controller is functional and does its job. Both consoles have their plus and minus points, theres a good comparison of Ninja Gaiden 2 at Digital Foundry. It shows that if the PS3 is programmed properly then it can pull of as much digital trickery as the 360.

Thanks for suggestions, a few i've never heard of so will take a look, not into racing/fighting/football games though so i think a few will fall into that category.

I have to say the controller isn't as comfortable as the 360, obviously I was used to that one but the Dualshock feels a bit small/light (& i've not even got big hands!)

Glad to find that uncharted 2 is getting better, was far too high cut scene to gameplay ratio to start with!

You could do with removing Killzone 2 off your list.

IGN doesn't normally update on the weekend, but this is Halo so normal rules don't apply

Got Killzone yesterday for £15, not a bad game so far (only played for 20mins)

I just can't get used to L1/L2/R1/R2 being in those positions though, I'm used to the 360 with the trigger as 'The Trigger' and the bumpers as grenade/etc. Time to mod a dual shock into a 360 casing perhaps?...

Seriously no love for Valkyria Chronicles? I never knew I could love turn based strategy so much before playing this.

I played the Batman demo on the 360 & thought it was 'ok' might have to get that next. Got the MGS demo so will give it a shot, as for strategy games..not my cup of tea I'm afraid!
