    'Premium' PSN - £50 ?

    http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/pr...-reveal-for-e3

They seriously need to consider there offerings for the £ if that's what comes to fruition - I don't even know if fruition justifies it.

"Subscribers may also be given a streaming music service to that runs in the background while playing PS3 games."

Or just let us play music during games and around the XMB like the 360 let us, and do a lesse extent the Xbox

"One free PSN game per month" - Better than nowt, they really need to add something good to get the numbers up though, I've heard no real positives at all about it, perhaps they'll just implement the top 10 'wants' from the blog (ie cross game chat) for subscribers only?...

Its not really free though is it - thats the point people are trying to make.

    Re: 'Premium' PSN - £50 ?

That wasn't my point, does the competition offer 1 free XBLA game a month?

Plus it's all hearsay at the moment, I see it happening but can't work out what they can offer people to make it worth their while paying £50 for it (then again 360 gamers do so the market is there, somewhere...)

The competition offers more for less, though. But as you say, its all here-say - I'd like to see what they offer for a premium service though given the apparent inevitability.

    Re: 'Premium' PSN - £50 ?

I guess it's just what people are after, personally I don't play MP, can't stand it so I'm certainly not their key audience I imagine.

Now if it provided other services (free games, discounts(?), media capabilities, exclusive streaming/etc) then maybe I'd be interested. It's reported as going to be under £50 but still it needs to blow my mind as a casual gamer, I live in hope!

If you press the PS button after hitting play doesn't it allow you to browse the XMB with it still playing..? Althoug you can't actually do much after that!

    Re: 'Premium' PSN - £50 ?

Yeah, it always stops for really bizarre reasons - like using a settings menu.

So it's absolutely no use unless you're one of the many people who enjoy looking at menu systems during their spare time. With music in the background, obviously - they aren't weirdos.

Premium PSN would cool if it offered a Spotify-esque service and a film/TV equivalent (Sky Player would be ace), plus loads of other goodies (guaranteed Beta access, early demo access etc.). But as it stands, PSN does everything I want for £0, which rocks

    Re: 'Premium' PSN - £50 ?

I was about to say get your facts right Terb... but it's already been done for me.

It's not £50 but $50 quite a difference, and it's not just so you can play music whilst gaming there is a ton of other stuff. Of course they are going to make it tempting but as others have said it can already do what i want it to so no point paying but then you dont know excatly what they will offer.

All this negative attitude so soon...
