Re: poor england
Not poor england at all IMO, they've underperformed for most of the campaign, and didn't get the results they really should've done!
(Yes, that will sound like bitterness from a Scot, but I beleveit to be true) I agree j.o.s.h, it should be a wake up call to the FA - they made McLaren manager, he was part of the unsuccessful Sven era, it seemed odd to keep an integral part of that 'era' in charge again. |

Re: poor england
that hurts....
TBH, I hope it gives us the serious kick up the a** that we need. The sooner McLaren goes the better and the sooner we stick to a 4-4-2 the better we will play. |

Re: poor england
The silver lining (and you really have to want to see it) is that Mclaren must now go, and he was always going to be a disaster.
He was part of the Sven era, he had input then, and we did nothing. All you can say is that now Mclaren goes early instead of when the Euros go tits up, and whoever comes in gets a head start. Total shambles. |

Re: poor england
Croatia - Played OK
English Defence - Pathetic English Midfield - Embarassing especially Gerrard Crouch - Superb and i felt sorry for him (and i loathe Liverpool). If we had 11 men with a heart like Crouch we would win all the time. Lastly....FU McClaren.......get in that dole queue. YOU are THE worst thing that has happened to England for 25 years (besides Carlton Palmer). Alan Shearer is just waiting to step into the role now. Thank gawd! |

Re: poor england
to be fair scotland with a team of average players better deserved to qualify and we had the winner and runner up in our group and still finished with more points than england. it was a poor showing and mclaren should have the gumption to resign cos he was hopeless and clearly cant motivate the players. the press will crucify him...

Well, quite.

The FA have called a meeting for 8:30 tomorrow, and at that meeting McClaren will be sacked. He should have gone during the interview afterwards, like Keegan. We haven't been disgraced like this since failing to get to the '94 World Cup, and McClaren or anyone else who doesn't even get to a major finals has to go. I don't know why he is even bothering to wait for the push. |

Re: poor england
True
Englishmen+McLaren/McClaren=Bad combination !Despite being a Scot I was hoping England would go through (just me ? thought so...) but they really didn't deserve to on the night. We have a squad light on talent but full of heart, whereas you guys seem to have the opposite. |
