Everton 1 - Arsenal 4: Wake Up Moyes!!!!
Did anyone here see the match? It was an absolute belter??
If you did or didnt, go and see the post-match interview David Moyes gave on the BBC Sport website...its HILARIOUS! I have the utmost respect for this man, or did have until i saw his total lack of respect for any of the Arsenal players or the referee. Basically its everyones fault they got 'felt up' but nothing to do with the schoolboy defending that Everton showed today and the mickey-mouse finishing that the 'God Yakubu' demonstrated. The silly man even accused Cesc Fabregas of feigning injury after Arteta elbowed him in the face, which clearly to anyone, even someone without eyes, was exactly what happened. The classiest comment sulky Moyes made though was ' Everton were clearly the best team'! ![]() ![]() ![]() If they were clearly that good and lost 4-1 i would love to see how much they lose by when being outplayed. Wenger is no better on some of these occassions but lately he has been showing a little more grace especially against Middlesbrough when we were totally outplayed for 90 minutes and Wenger congratulated the whole team and manager. I think Moyes needs to learn how to lose thoughas well as win because although they have improved drastically, they are still a 'middle the road' team. It seems the dizzy heights of 5/6 place has gone to his head. |

Re: Everton 1 - Arsenal 4: Wake Up Moyes!!!!
We're 6th, still in the domestic cups, went through in europe top of our group, and in the last 14 games have only lost to Man U (penalty with 2 minutes to go), Liverpool (Clattenberg plays for the Reds) and Arsenal today.
So you know nothing. Be quiet. I'd worry a bit more about Kaka and friends giving you a good hiding when you play Milan in the CL to be honest. |

Re: Everton 1 - Arsenal 4: Wake Up Moyes!!!!
We're 6th - Like i said
still in the domestic cups - Along with others went through in europe top of our group - Yep. But UEFA Cup with unheard of teams. To be fair though, you can only beat whats put in front of you and you have been doing that and in the last 14 games have only lost to Man U (penalty with 2 minutes to go), Liverpool (Clattenberg plays for the Reds) and Arsenal today. - Like i said....i admire Moyes for that. So you know nothing. Be quiet. - No - I know that the 'Best Team Lost' I still cant understand that statement and even an Everton fan must cringe when the man at the top makes a statement so unfathomable. If it was 1-0 then there maybe a case for it...but 4-1....nahI'd worry a bit more about Kaka and friends givig you a good hiding when you play Milan in the CL to be honest. - Maybe....but you have to be in it to win it and we went on the same merry go round of 'Arsenal bashing' a couple of seasons ago when Juventus and Real Madrid were going to thrash us and ended up being 10 minutes from winning the competition To be fair though, after what happened to Phil O'Donnell of Motherwell today, its pretty insignificant who wins or loses a football match. ![]() |

Re: Everton 1 - Arsenal 4: Wake Up Moyes!!!!
Arsenal were, well.... rubbish I thought on the most part. The passing was all over the place. We only really started playing during the last 20 minutes and 1-4 isn't a "fair" representation of the match.
Im not at all worried about AC Milan though, I think we'll be more than fine against them. |

Re: Everton 1 - Arsenal 4: Wake Up Moyes!!!!
Sorry, but Fabregas stayed down for a good few minutes when he basically got slightly hit on the chin. Again, an Arsenal player goes down like he's been shot! It was a borderline red card with no intention, his arm was high, fair enough. What Bendtner did was far worse and he only got a yellow!
Bar the shocking mistake and defending by Everton, they should've have easily contained you, when Arsenal start playing route one football you know you are struggling and are not neccessarily the better team. 4-1 was a very flattering scoreline, and although football is about results, the result does not necessarily reflect how the teams played, as you suggesting it obviously does. Also, RIP Phil O'Donnell. |

Re: Everton 1 - Arsenal 4: Wake Up Moyes!!!!
The bloke spent most of the game rolling around on the floor even though no-one went near him. The guy continually dived trying to con the ref! And if you dont think Arteta deserved what he got the you need to look at a re-run. He even looked before he did it. At least went Bendtner got his marching orders he was actually going for the ball. Granted he missed it by a country mile but it wasnt malicious.......Arteta was. ANY footballer wouldve stayed down after that. Not because it was that bad......but because the the offender always needs to be shown a red. BTW....... Liverpool tonight ![]() |

Thats not good for your argument is it? I already said, most Arsenal fans dont think much of Eboue's antics anyway. If you watch football you would see that he never gets the decisions anyway as the refs know what he's up to. Does this make him worse than: Savage -Arsenal vs Blackburn the other week he was a complete disgrace for diving Van Nistelrooy - Nuf said Ronaldo - Worst diver in the Premier League over the last 5 years by a LONG WAY! Diouf- At it all the time Torres - He's not even good at play acting but tries at least 5 a game. Thats just 5 off the top of my head....there are sooo many more. If you think that Arsenal are the main culprits then you are deluding yourself. (or just a bit miffed that Arseanl are at the top for now which is what i suspect) ![]() |

Re: Everton 1 - Arsenal 4: Wake Up Moyes!!!!
I would rate Drogba and most of the Chelsea team with that over that tbh, I don't think Arsenal are the main culprits at all.
But you're first point of argument in your opening was laughing at Moyes and how he suggested Fabregas was feigning injury, when now you have admitted that he has..... Yeah, I do support Spurs, but tbh, you being top atm doesn't really bother me too much. I'm a fan of football first, and you play good football, no one denies it. What does annoy me is how Arsenal fans don't care about the cheating that goes on at your club, not so much this year, but in past years. You joke about how Wenger never sees anything...when Zokora dived that one time, I was acutally ashamed that he was a Spurs player. EDIT: We had a shocker of a season until a few weeks ago. We've under performed majorly, but even the most die hard Arsenal fan can't not admit that you were lucky to get all three points the other day. |
