BMX suggestions!
Recently i managed to break my mountain bike and i have been quoted £100 to get it fixed! I'm a student at university and having a bike useful but im loathed to pay for a new one when the one i own is under guarantee at home. As a result i have decided i would like a BMX to mess around on at university and i will get my mountain bike fixed when i go home.
Does anyone know much about BMX's and could inform me about a good BMX to start with. All i will use it for is a bit of riding and maybe try getting into some basic tricks like bunny-hop and manual! I guess my budget is around £150 so if anyone has suggestions (second hand is absolutely fine!) let me know! Cheers! |

Re: BMX suggestions!
Mongoose. their bikes are excellent and won't break the bank. they've been making BMX and other bikes since, like, the 70s. Cool vid.
I got my mongoose Tyax Elite mountainbike for £230 from Evans Cycles. It really is a good bike. Their BMX range is here and within your budget. But take a look online, research what YOU want. Still, here's a quick review set for you. |

Re: BMX suggestions!
Alansbmx.com have a few going for under £150, I reckon thats a good place to start.
Might I enquire what exactly broke on your bike? 100 seems steep repair cost, unless youve totalled multiple parts, I cant think how you could have done that much damage to it. |

Re: BMX suggestions!
Keep an eye out for a Ruption dealer. In the sub £200 market, their bikes spec-for-spec tend to come in around £20 cheaper RRP than the competition.
