Vibram FiveFingers - anyone tried them?
Hey all
Both me and the missus have active hobbies, I skate and she's a keen kayak-er. We came across these Fivefingers pumps and thought that they looked pretty smart -> The UK's only official Fivefingers distributor Anyone tried these? I'm not keen on the UK fivefingers site either, there's only an email address should things go wrong. |

They reviewed them on The Gadget Show a while back so they may have something on their site ?
They do look as if they'd be quite good for certain activities, but I guess it'll be a love/hate thing. Also, they really do sound like something you'd buy from a shop with blacked-out windows. |

Re: Vibram FiveFingers - anyone tried them?
I'm interested in giving them a go, but for some reason the uk site only stocks the classic, and not the newer models, and it's a rip-off - £70 each, where the US price is <$70...
I might get a pair from ebay tbh. |

Yeah, the UK site is a complete rip. Good call re. fleaBay Stoo - I'll check that out... Seems that most vendors ship from the US which aint a big deal but I guess that VAT and duty will be applied bringing the price back up to near UK pricing. I like the look of the new model, sprint. Sod it, I'm in!

Re: Vibram FiveFingers - anyone tried them?
I emailed fivefingers.co.uk and they said that the manufacturer controls web prices so different regions don't compete with each other (good luck!) but you're right about the US - shipping and tax makes it pretty much the same - so I guess it works... I'm gonna use the UK site just in case I order the wrong size - don't want to be sending stuff back to Alabama (or whatever)! Reassuringly expensive I guess

I paid £80 for mine before the UK had an official distributor and it was the best footwear purchase I ever made. I never wear anything else on my feet.
