He he, too true, most of the time his jokes are like what are you going on about! he does make me cringe...

still he's not as bad as my all time worst commentator, ron atkinson. the amount of drivel he said....phew hes off the airwaves.

I'm unable to express my rage at his totally useless phrases, his half finished sentences and general drivel that he spewed last night.

Why on EARTH does anyone pay him?

I'd walk him out of the studio if I was employing him. Honestly, the very least you could do is employ someone who can string a sentence together, finish it, and make sense.

It was all about the moustache. Once that went they should have sacked him.

His radio commentary is slightly more bearable. Im not a big fan of the whole BBc tv football set up.

    Ian wright needs a kicking.

I have to agree, I'm not a fan of BBC's football coverage either. I like Linekar and Hanson, and that's about it. I actually can't stand Motson, I don't rate him as a commentator at all.

i tend to skip all the chatting parts at the beginning middle and end when its on the bbc.. just cant stand it.

who's the guy that sits beside andy gray on sky when hes "analysing" the matches? hes funny because he just sits there and asks a few dumb questions with no input whatsoever!

His commentary last night was borderline cringeworth at times and even Motson had some pauses where he had to thing of something to say to counteract the stupid statements that come out of his mouth.

I actually think Motson is far, far worse.
Any time any team other than England get the ball for longer than 2 minutes it's straight out with the:
"and England are under the cosh here"

And is it me, or does he enjoy it when England lose? I swear he does, listen to his commentary, he was praying the Swiss scored again last night!

…the most ridiculous comment came during the dying minutes of the game when Lawrenson swung a left hook at us all. Lawrenson asked Motson how people voted for Fans Player of the Match. Motson told him that it is done online. Lawrenson replied “GEEKS”

Love the Lawrenson quotes, but IMO the ITV lineup for Champions League games is even worse. I dont even know who half of them are...and goodness knows why the BBC wanted Gabby Logan from them. Maybe theyre trying to even out the crapness...
