    Thierry Henry unhappy

I forgot to mention a small article from the london lite newspaper i saw last thursday or friday, it had asmall quote saying how henry issued a statement replying to someone asking him if he is happy with like in spain. i said somthing like "how can a father be happy knowing that he has only seen his daughter 5 times in 8 months"

i wont be surprised if he takes a u turn this summer. it realy wont shock me if he begged wenger to take him back. would you(arsenal fans) like henry to come back to arsenal and finish his career bergkhamp style?

if not arsenal he will definetly try to engineer a move to anotehr premiership side. i just cant see him staying there for much longer. he has a child to look after and its HIS duty to do so. his child needs to come first ahead of almost everything including his career and not many would disagree. its been said that his ex wife wont move to spain so the only way for henry to see his daughter more often is if he plays in england again

The question is would you have him back after the slating you gave him when he left?

(JOSH quickly checks through his previous posts)

Personally I would not want him back if it was for just famility reasons although it would not do Arsenal hard having a rock solid experienced player back...

me have him back? i doubt it very much but as i said, it wont surprise me if he is playing football here in the premiership again weather its for arsenal or someone else. here is teh full article, he now denies it to an extent but there is a hint that he is worried about his daughter.

Barcelona forward Thierry Henry has denied he is unsettled in Spain.

The 30-year-old admitted earlier this week he was "not happy" because he does not see his two-year-old daughter as often as he would like following his divorce last year shortly after his transfer to the Nou Camp from Arsenal.

But a statement released on behalf of the player read: "There have been recent press reports suggesting that Thierry Henry is unhappy at FC Barcelona. This is not true.

"Thierry loves Spain and the vibrant city of Barcelona. He is thoroughly enjoying playing for the club and has a lot of time for the fans.

"The only downside he experiences by being in Spain is that, due to his hectic playing schedule, he cannot see his daughter as much as he would like to."

The statement will be welcomed by Barca coach Frank Rijkaard after Henry's earlier words fuelled intense speculation about his future.

"I've got some personal problems and my daughter is the most important thing in my life," Henry was quoted as saying.

"I'm not happy because a father that only sees his daughter five times in the last eight months cannot be.

"If you know what it is to have a daughter then you can imagine what it is like. I'm not asking you to cry for me, only that people don't talk for me."

Former Arsenal striker Henry also suggested his form - he has scored seven goals in 19 Primera Liga games - has not been helped by playing in an unfamiliar position.

"I played for eight years in a team in a specific position and now I'm at another club in another position with a different tactical system," he said.

"It's time to stop comparing the Barcelona Henry with the Arsenal Henry. This is the Henry that you are seeing here."

Barcelona are second in La Liga, eight points behind bitter rivals Real Madrid.

I think Henry and Torres combo might work well.

No, the answer to Liverpool winning a title is playing the same team week in week out without using rotation for rotations sake. It's the only way to get consistency and that is what is required to win the Premiership. Liverpool lost it in the first 3 months of this season cos Rafa stuck to a stupid policy. 2p.

Henry and Torres? Can't see that partnership being any better than the form Torres and Gerrard are putting together at the moment.

But if the team can earn ubah dosh Beckham style from just having Henry on the books, maybe that would work.

Torres and Henry are too similar to work well together in my opinion. Torres plays through the middle a little more, but none of them are strong or can hold the ball up. Neither work particularly well coming deep.

Ideally you want someone who can give you something a little different. Drogba and Torres on the other hand...

I hope Henry does come back, and I'm not fussed who it's with. You want to see the best playing week in, week out, and while he's lost a bit of pace and spark, he's still a class act. Can see Keegan and Erikson putting in bids for him to be honest - whether he'd drop that far (particularly Newcastle) or not would remain to be seen and while he'd be much closer to his family, it's still a fair distance.

yes its a fair distance but only what, a couple hours drive? i recon chelsea and liverpool would be ideal for him as both will offer him top level football in champions league and also getting teh same wage if not more if he joins eitehr club particulary chelsea who love throwing money away

stevie g is a friend of mister henry. weird but true. while i can see the huge, huge advantages of getting another quality striker to pair with torres, the current midfield of Babel - Xabi - Monster - Kuyt/Pennant with gerrard in a free role is doing us grand. i would like a second striker, but i wonder if henry is the guy to do the job. still getting linked with David Villa. torres and villa up front =
