United fans: Premier League or Champions League?
Though the question is aimed at Man Utd fans in particular (me being one), I'd like to hear everyone else's thoughts too.
If your team was in the running for the Premier League title and the Champions League, which would you prefer to win? Both isn't an answer, you have to prefer one over the other! ![]() I'm under the impression that most would say the Champions League, and though that may have been true of myself in the past, I'd now rather win the Premier League. Over the length of the season, you watch so many league games that it feels a long, hard-fought battle. That, coupled with the opportunity to best your closest rivals, makes the league title more important to me than the Champions League. How about you? |

Re: United fans: Premier League or Champions League?
There's two ways that this can be looked at as to which competition I'd prefer United to win this season.
On the first hand there is the fact that Chelsea have never won the CL before, so it would be sweet after them finally get through to a final to beat them and add another European title to the trophy cabinet. On the other, it would be terrible to get pipped to the post of the Premiership this season, United fans will never hear the end of it if they let it slip this year. Losing the CL wouldn't be a disaster if the premiership is won at Wigan next weekend. |

Re: United fans: Premier League or Champions League?
Being a UTD Fans its always better to win your bread and butter, so without a doubt i would rather retain the Premier League over the Champs League,
However i do believe we will win both, But my preference is deffo the Premier League. |

Champions League. No doubt. Do you remember where you were when we won the league in 2000?
Do you remember when Solskjaer scored that injury time winner at the nou camp? Come on, how can you tell me the league is more important?! |

Re: United fans: Premier League or Champions League?
I do remember Utd Winning the Title in 2000, probably because i have the DVD's, and yes i know where you are coming from, but even so i would prefer to win the EPL , this is just my personal preference.
But like i said i think we will win both anyway, i know it will be hard but losing the league now would be much more of dissapointment than losing the Champs league. ![]() |

I can't take any more of this stress... and it's only Tuesday.
I've had the what if voices in my head all weekend and by the end of next week I'll either be stuck celebrating winning the league, or sectioned for my mental health and everyone elses safety. |

Re: United fans: Premier League or Champions League?
It's too hard to decide...
![]() But I'm gonna have to go with the Champions League cos I know we're gonna win the league in the next few seasons and finally take Liverpool's record. I do think we will win both though! ![]() Chimp |

Champions League, Champions League, Champions League, Champions League....
It's just far more exciting, this season in the league is a bit unique for the ending but say both Chelsea and Man United lose... bit anti climatic and that's my point the way you can win the league is just so boring, there's no big showdown match |

Re: United fans: Premier League or Champions League?
I want to win the Premiership because I think we have been the best team so far, and I really dont want Chelski to win.
However winning the CL will give us more respect in Europe. As fergie has said for a club our size we should have won more, (mind you though, Barca have only won 2). Anyhow lets see if we can win it first. I'm so nervous, I hope we dont do what we did in the 94/95 season. |
