Yup! Love 'em!
Though my latest pair are Mizunos as the small sports shop I bought them from (run by the family of a friend of mine) didn't have the type of Asics I was after. |

So far, so good! They've got Goretex and various gubbins like that. Comfortable but a shade tighter than the Asics I think, but my impression of them so far is very favourable. I would've stuck with Asics but for stock issues (I like supporting my local businesses where I can.)

Re: I think im going to buy some Asics trainers this weekend
I've had a pair of Asics GT 2110 for just over a year for long walks (25 miles plus sometimes) and I've never got a blister or felt uncomfortable. They are quite an individual thing though so make sure you try them on first and make sure you're completely happy with them before buying.

I have had pleasant walking experiences with merril shoes which are usually comfortable and dont make my feet hurt. The prices are usually cheaper than other brand names trainers

Re: I think im going to buy some Asics trainers this weekend
I love Adidias A3 type trainers they are really springy and comfy, much much better than Nike Shox I think (and I have owned Nike Shox before). Good thing about the A3 is that they are actually at decent price range these days (about £50), which I think is about the same price as your Asics? Anyway only one way to find out if anything is any good... go into a shop and try them on

Re: I think im going to buy some Asics trainers this weekend
If your not going to be using the shoes for sport I'd recommend for comfort factor, ecco, merril, berghaus, salamon and brasher. Yes they are all predominantly walking/hiking shoe brands but they have far superior midsole and ankle support as well as uber levels of padding. They don't just come as boots now, I wear the trainer varients myself. I'd recommend if you do go down this route getting shoes with a vibram sole and gore tex xcr, you'll have a have a lot of grip, and your feet will stay dry in the heaviest rain!

Re: I think im going to buy some Asics trainers this weekend
I have the exact same ones as your thinking of getting and theyre pretty good - i found they made my feet ache a bit the first couple of long runs i went on but now there fine and my runs are about 4.5km (changing to hill sprints now
) They seem good for walking and almost put a spring in your step! Also they are well made and come up lovely and clean in the washing machine XD |

i have to wear custom-formed arch supporting inserts and those are the shoes the doctors recommended. I've been wearing them for 3 years and my feet feel much better!
