    Best MP3 player for running

    HI all,

I'm looking for a new MP3 player to help me on my way when I go running.

I currently have an iRiver iFP790, which I love, but it only has 256Mb RAM, and I used it for recordings too. I want to get a bigger capacity player, that has a comfortable armband, lots of memory is small. Doesn't need lots of features, just to be able to play MP3 tracks at a reasonable volume, with good quality sound.

From a brief look around, the Creative ZEN Stone Plus with speaker (4GB) seems to be the top so far. Has a bunch of features I don't need, but everything else fits. I picked the "Stone Plus with speaker" because this one has a claimed battery life of 20hrs, compared to the 4 or 5hrs people are getting out of the previous version.

On a related note, what about best ear phones? Currently I use Sennheiser CX300s, which are great, but they do suffer from "knocking noise" where every tap on the chord can be heard through the ear phones.

    Thanks!

I find the ipod shuffle is the best mp3 player for running - it's small, light, clips to your clothing, just put your running playlist on then stick it on random and you're set!

I just use my k810i phone with a 4GB m2 card and a pair of sennheiser PMX70 headphones (perfect for running as they won't fall out).

    Works a treat.

I have a Creative Zen (just Zen, no Stone) and find it very good for jogging - it just goes in my shorts pocket and causes no trouble. It might be a little heavy in the pocket for serious running use - you'd want to hold it in your hand.

You'll get this with any canalphones, just because they're so intimately attached to your ears.

Don't you find that the sweat gets into the earphones? woulnd't that damage them after a while? Or is it just that I sweat too much?
