A gold and bronze in the Womens 400m freestyle. It was ana amazing event to watch. The American girl was leading from halfway point and Adlington stole the gold in the last second. What a finish!

The Mens 4x100m relay was also great to watch with the Americans stealing the gold from the French at the last second.

Britain is now ranked 6th in the medals table.

That was spectacular! I couldn't believe Adlington won it, even she looked shocked to have sneaked into first place. Awesome!

I am not going to expand each of those, 1. it would be a dissertation, and 2. I do not fully understand each issues. People protest for different reasons, some may protest for one issues, others on many, and I suspect there are protesters who protest for the sake of protesting.

On the other side of the fence, there are people protesting about media bias against China and against some of the aforementioned issues some of which have two sides to the story.

Then there are also stories about a couple of protests going violent or protesters getting mobbed.
    a very well balanced summary.

although this regime got lots of problems its still the best chinese regime in 200 years.

Bolt you mean? Was pretty special mate.

He won the olympic gold, destroyed the rest of the feild, broke the world record, and did it all while showboating for the last 15 meters.

    Class.

Third by gold still (I wonder why the US is lagging so far behind China in Gold - sure home advantage and all but still). It's interesting, I saw a lot of comments criticising Andy Burnham's optimism for the UK's performance in the Olympic in one of the free newspaper they give out (Lite) couple days back. So far though, he is in the money.

we are doing well but we need to practise in the track and field though and get a GB team for the football as i reckon that's the closest our country has in winning something in football from the looks of last nights shoddy performance against Czech Republic.

anyone saw the 200m finals? Bolt was amazing. i don't think his human!

I love how GB is doing so well in the events...the icing on the cake is that the Antipedians (which is a country whose main focus is really just sport) are below us!...
