A total shocker! Should have kept Tevez for all his work rate. Even Rooney looked disgusted over Berbatovs work rate. I still don’t think ManU have anything to worry though, they always start the season a little off but have strengths to grind out results near the end. The last couple of seasons you have gotten only 4 points from your first 5 games so I still don't think the alarm bells should be ringing yet!

I am quite sure we will bounce back, but I am not sure whether we can win the title. It all depends on the other 3 (or 4 if you include man city). Chelsea look the strongest at the moment but I still feel they are bit woobly and bad patch for them is not too far off. Arsenal and Liverpool, it all depends whether they can prevent injuries occurring to their key players (fabregas, torres, etc).

As for man utd, I think we still need one or two more players, maybe a central midfielder + a striker. Owen gets in good position but his finishing so far has been shocking. I am hoping once he eventually bags in his first goal his confidence should rise.

Chelsea have been the same team for the past 4 years but I think they have a solid midfield, Chelsea's best midfield diamond right now is: Essian; Zhirkov, Ballack (I think making him work for his place is finally having an effect); Lampard. But there is an awful lot of room for rotation this season. I think that this can only be a good thing, as players will be hungry for playing time.

Prem is looking good soo far. Spuds look very good thsi year after thrashing Hull, and Sunderland are a good side under Steve Bruce and a chairman willing to spend some cash.

Must say, Tottenham do look good now, but their home results last season were fairly solid (did not concede too many) - Hull hardly offered resistance in the last game. Will reserve judgment on them for now - until they face a real team up for it in an away fixture.

Man City however, Ade was up for it, Tevez seemed hungry, a test for Mark Hughes in player management.

A real shame that Zhirkov is still injured. As quiet and unspectacular as his arrival was he does have the potential to be one of the signings of the season. Hopefully he will be playing soon.

Diaby!! Could this finally be the season for Diaby? His always been a favourite of mine but has never been consistent. Ade scored for Citeh and Man U are looking lively.

EDIT: Good performance from the ManU strike force.

    About bloody time

Interesting to see Fergie drop Anderson, Carrick and Park. Hopefully this should give them to kick up the backside they need.

EDIT: Wait Nani just scored, 5-0

Looking forward to Fulham v Chelsea tomorrow, hope our defensive form is enough to contain the chelski, they do look good this season (although not keeping clean sheets gives us a chance) 1-0 to us with a Dempsey goal is my bet for sunday

Hodgson has created a very solid team at Fulham. Buying Duff was a shrewd move as he is a very good player on his day.

Hodgson has slowly, but surely building his team, and I think Fulham are a very good side. I think the Chelsea match could be a draw. If Fulham are able to contain Chelsea, their defense is a bit leaky so I can see Fulham getting a goal or two.

Not a good day for Liverpool, still I would not worry too much yet as its very early. However the loss of Alonzo is beginning to show.

Villa fan here, truly shocked about last nights result. I thought we were going to get another slaughtering similar to last year, but fair play to lads they worked hard to get that result. The defence last night were very committed and Brad was on top form as usual. Let's hope we can use this as a platform to get a run of good results.

I would feel hard done if I was Arsenal was fan today. No idea what Almunia was thinking and Diaby, he is my favourite player now

Berbatov and Nani should be shot for missing those last minute chances, had Gallas not been off side we would paying for that. Tbh we did not deserve to win, but thats football and since its very early in the season I would not worry if I was a Arsenal fan.

great performance. i am upset with the result but manu was very very lucky.

Arsenals back for never put a foot wrong while we was ahead and our midfield and attacking play troubled united. it took a brilliant save and the bar to save united bacon.

Diaby? stil not sure why his playing but wenger MUST see somethin in training for him to start. i feel sorry for the lad on his own goal. he did well to pick himself up and trouble united. its a shame his finishing was awful.

If arsenal keep putting in a similar performance every week until may, dont be surprised if we are still in it for the title. From what i can see, this was a flukey loss on arsenals part.

a few inches here and there and arsenal would have been 3 goals up but like people say, football can be crual.

The standard of Mike Dean was embarrassing, period. It came after Mike Dean refused Arsenal the most nailed on penalty you will ever see in your life. Arshavin flicked it out of the way of Darren Fletcher who slid in and knocked Arshavin over and then handled the ball. It was two penalties in one. Yet amazingly Mike Dean did nothing. He didn't give us the most stonewall penalty you will ever see. The referee couldn't have got it more wrong if he tried

The fans were digraceful and so far no apology has been offered from ManU regarding the incident. Remember a few years ago when ferguson was charged with rape in SA? If we started singing that at the emirates then Sky and the whole media would have a field day!

We totally outclassed ManU, but i still firmly believe that we need to get 1 or 2 players in before tuesday. Chamakh and Matuidi would be good buyss. Up the Gunners!
